Q: WILL THERE BE A SPECIAL NEEDS SEATING AREA IN THE VENUE?
There will be a wheelchair seating area on the Pier and also some chairs available for anyone who needs to sit down (medical or mobility issues).
Q: WHAT IS ALLOWED INTO THE VENUE?
One factory sealed water bottle (non-glass container)
Disposable cameras
Small/ medium frameless backpacks (subject to inspection)
Q: WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED INTO THE VENUE?
NO illegal substances
NO alcoholic beverages
NO fireworks
NO weapons of any kind
NO glass or cans of any kind
NO laser pens or similar focused light devices
NO unlicensed vending
NO glow sticks
NO chairs of any kind
NO pets except for service animals
NO cameras (other than disposable), or video recording equipment. Unauthorized film or video will be confiscated
Q: Will we be permitted to re-enter the venue if we leave?
No re-entry will be allowed. Please see event staff should special circumstances require you leave and wish to return during the show.
Q: Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?
You must buy a ticket for children 6 years of age and older.
Q: What is the taping policy going to be? Will we need to get taper tickets?
Wilco permits audiotaping and trading of live performances. Videotaping will NOT be allowed. Set up is allowed in designated area only and no taper tickets will be necessary. Although Wilco will not allow direct soundboard patches the band supports the free trading of live recordings for non-commercial purposes.
Q: Will cameras be allowed in the Venue?
Only disposable cameras will be allowed. Please be considerate of others. Video taping is NOT allowed and we ask that you refrain from using your cell phones during concerts.
Q: Can I get back any items confiscated at the entrance?
There will be NO check-in area for disallowed items. All patrons will be subject to a search by security personnel. Please be advised that the security company, facility, promoters & performers will not be responsible for any items confiscated during search procedures.
Q: Can we bring in alcoholic beverages?
No alcoholic beverages will be allowed onto the Main State Pier. Beer will be available for purchase for those who are over 21 years of age and present a valid form of photo ID.
Q: What is the security going to be like at Pier Revue?
Event staff including professional, trained, unarmed security will be present throughout the event.
Q: Where should I park?
Free parking is available on a first come, first served basis along Commercial St. and throughout the Old Port. For a small fee there is a public lot adjacent to the Casco Bay Lines Terminal on the Maine State Pier. Please note that parking is limited there and you should plan to arrive early. Additional public lots are located within walking distance to the Maine State Pier.
Q: Where can I find an ATM?
Please note that there are no ATMs inside the venue. There are several ATM locations within walking distance to the venue including one machine inside the Casco Bay Lines Terminal building which is adjacent to the Maine State Pier. ATM fees may apply.
Q: Where can I find a payphone?
A payphone is located near the entrance to the venue.
Q: Will food be available on the Pier during the show?
A variety of reasonably priced foods and beverages will be available on the Maine State Pier, including beer for those 21 years of age and older presenting a valid ID.
Q: I am having trouble finding reasonably priced lodging in Portland, any suggestions?
Downtown Portland hosts several hotel options but consider the other options that are available. The Maine Office of Tourism website lists several options in and around Portland including bed & breakfasts, campgrounds, motels, inns, cottage and condo rentals and more.
